lyrics

I don’t need to see where the bell rings
colonies outnumbered where the minerals sing
was a voice coming out like a swell below the sage
it stayed below the jagged mountains shade
haven’t seen a bird or a fire or purple stream
these budding voices silenced on your flowering cactus gleam
friend my old friend i’m here once again
to help you know the infinite beauty you are within
Sonora , Mojave , Chihuahua

Poem 2. Death Valley
Sudden flares like
The hurtful words that finally make sense
Like grandmas eyes that never end
Pulling up the shield
Voices drift over a sundried mountain tower
I’m not ready to give up me
In the middle of a soft repeat
Cant really hear the words
But I know what they mean
It’s time to confront the separation
Stillness upsets the reception
Steeping is the only way out
Smiling is the only silence that grows past doubt
Talking to you was just some formal
Meeting far away from our minds
Dissipate over the heads of future sitters in the park
Build a bench of all your wishes given away in my yard.
Distance added up years to notice
You are me in this running process

about

Fentress Austin, Texas

Fentress formed mid 2013 from the remains of experimental Art Rock band Landing Station who also has albums on bandcamp. Alex drummer/founder called Armando LS's other founder after a few years had seperated the two. Alex found more like minded musicians through free-lance gigs during their time apart to join. This band was formed in the memory of Alex's father.
