-A remote church on a desert night....
It rained after the assembly to acknowledge her passing -- a woman I never knew I'd received help on her account, in the spirit of her life, an acknowledgement of her charitable soul.
This woman's actions while living caused a young college student -- a young woman, to pick up three guys along a desert HWY after a breakdown. She must have seen the 66' Ford Galaxie we'd left behind us as it hadn't been long since deciding to depart on foot.
We'd escaped a potentially fatal wreck some weeks prior after losing a tire along the canyons outside of Phoenix.
In this last instance we saw sparks from the rear axle being loosed upon the pavement of the highway as we drove posed concern. I'm not sure whether we had the presence of mind then to count ourselves fortunate as it hadn't occurred in the opposite fashion and caused a catapulting effect or if that was brought to our attention later but suffice it to say the glittery light show from the back window was preferable.
We were driven to a home and directed to a nearby motel. She assured us we could be helped by the family of those she was visiting for the funeral. I can't recall feeling we were imposing, but it most served to temper anxieties. A solemn humbling to settle the prideful inner frustrations. The next day the men of the family welcomed us and attended to repairs at their home.

-This is no dry run for these people as I might have, perhaps hoped on some level, at the outset of this. No more are the days when we might reason among ourselves (naively believing there was no third party channeling) with regard to sensible outcomes -- what the times might hold in store.
I look to no generational legacy, but do favor my own past in that whatever can be salvaged of worth might well be the only currency for surmounting all that lay ahead. But do recall the briefest span of consistent joy and
momentary glimpses at now ephemeral occurrences that are not so much diminished by import to life, but the lack of such beauty against the backdrop of years.

Alex drummer/founder called Armando LS's other founder after a few years had seperated the two. Alex found more like minded musicians through free-lance gigs during their time apart to join. This band was formed in the memory of Alex's father.
